Our Journey
Nine decades of educational excellence and growth
1932
Foundation as St. Theresa
Established as St. Theresa Primary School by the Catholic Church, beginning our journey of educational excellence in Mbarara.
1967
Special Needs Unit Established
Pioneered inclusive education in the region by establishing specialized facilities for visually impaired students.
1985
Name Change to St Helen's
Officially renamed to St Helen's Primary School, reflecting our growth and evolving identity in the community.
2000s
Modern Infrastructure
Major infrastructure development including new classrooms, computer labs, library, and improved boarding facilities.
2025
Continued Excellence
Today we serve 800+ students with 50+ qualified teachers, maintaining our 100% pass rate and commitment to inclusive education.
